Let me get straight to the point. My book writing career started four years late because of procrastination!

I know you don’t want to be four years late for anything. So I’m going to show you the one step that helped me beat procrastination.

I’ve actually written about this in a lot more details in my book Getting The Barakah. That was actually the first book I wrote after overcoming procrastination, so I included an entire chapter onĀ procrastination in that book.

So what was the one things I did to finally beat it?

Stop being a perfectionist!

Its as simple as that!

I have spoken to many people who procrastinate, and 65% of them procrastinate for the same reason: perfectionism. (The other 35% are just lazy, which I’m sure you are not!)

Let me show an example from my own life. I wanted to write books for years. But from 2011-2014, I produced almost nothing!

Every time I started writing a book, I felt that it wassn’t good enough and I gave up writing it.

Then I realized something important: No human writing can ever be perfect!

That’s the solution!

As soon as I realized and embraced that, the writings began to flow!

Since then, I have published 8 eBooks!

And yes, none of them are perfect.

But they exist and people read them, and benefit from them every day which is what really matters.

And that is far better than never publishing anything because it isn’t perfect.

Embrace your humanity

Accept that you are human and not perfect. Your goals are important, and what matter is that you accomplish them, even if they are far from perfect.

Focus on getting things done!

Not on making things perfect!

The day you embrace this is the day you will overcome procrastination and start flying full speed ahead towards your goals. Just like I did with my book writing career.
